Four ranges designed for every age and every occasion — from the first bath to whole afternoons in the water.
Clothing that replaces sun cream.
A child’s skin burns in under 15 minutes in the June sun. At UVEA, we started with a simple observation: a well-designed fabric provides 24-hour protection without you having to think about it, whereas sun cream is hard to apply evenly, washes off in the pool and ends up in the sea.
Our garments are UPF 80 certified to the German UV Standard 801 — tested when wet, stretched and after 80 washes. We manufacture to order in Europe, using recycled Italian fabrics. No overstocking, no chemical sun cream, and a garment that can be passed down from one child to the next.

Real protection for medical situations. Giant Congenital Nevus, Xeroderma Pigmentosum, vitiligo, post-dermatological treatment : our UPF 80 swimsuits are regularly used in these contexts. A dedicated page goes into detail.
The most frequently asked questions
From what age can UVEA be worn?
Our baby wetsuits start from size 6 months. For infants under 6 months, we recommend avoiding direct exposure to the sun — shade remains the best protection. As soon as they are old enough to play by the water’s edge, the UVEA wetsuit takes over without causing irritation or requiring chemical sun cream on their sensitive skin.
Why UPF 80 and not UPF 50+ like other brands?
UPF 50+ lets through 1 in 50 UV rays. UPF 80 lets through 1 in 80. For a child’s skin exposed for several hours, this difference is significant. UV Standard 801 certification (from an independent German laboratory) guarantees this level even after washing, under real-world conditions. Our competitors stop at UPF 50+.
Do I still need to apply sun cream to exposed areas?
Yes, for the face, neck, hands and feet that remain exposed. We recommend a mineral-based (not chemical) sun cream to protect the coral and limit skin absorption. Clothing covers 80% of the body’s surface area — sun cream is only needed on the remaining 20%.
