The range covers babies (from 6 months), children (3 to 12 years) and adults. All sizes feature the same high-quality, thick terry fabric, the same generous hood and the same soft lining. When the whole family gets out of the water, no one is left out.

The UVEA poncho is made from hotel-grade cotton terry cloth — denser than most consumer products. It absorbs water instantly, dries quickly, and the fabric remains soft wash after wash. Made in Europe.

From what age can the poncho be used?
The baby size is suitable from around 6 months (depending on the child’s build). Children’s sizes start from 3 years. The adult size is suitable for teenagers and adults.
Is the poncho UV-protective?
No. It is a post-swim garment designed to dry and warm you up, not to replace sun protection. For swimming itself, wear a T-shirt or a UVEA UV-protective swimsuit.
Which size should I choose?
Baby (6 months to 3 years), child (3 to 12 years), adult. The poncho should be loose-fitting to wrap around you properly — if in doubt, go for the next size up.
How should it be cared for?
Machine wash at 30 or 40°C, air drying recommended (gentle tumble dry possible).
Does it really absorb water?
Yes. The dense European cotton sponge absorbs immediately — more effectively than a thin microfibre towel.
How long does it take to make?
3 to 4 weeks. Like the entire UVEA range, it is made to order in Europe.
Can it be personalised with a first name?
Yes, on request (see the Bespoke page). We embroider the first name in Bulgaria during production.
